My
interest in gardening began when my grandfather handed me
my first organic tomato, juicy and warmed
by the sun. From that day forward, fresh, organic fruit and
vegetables have been a necessary part of my life and my gardens.
I installed and maintained plants for many other companies
for fifteen years before establishing my own company, Gardens
by Design with Gardens to Go.
Prior to my gardening career
I worked as a professional artist and instructor. My art
has been exhibited widely and is represented in private and
corporate collections nationwide. I have a BFA Degree and
did Master’s work at Tyler
School of Art, Temple University.

My Philosophy
|
My emphasis is on the creative
use of plants for
both beauty and the filtration of toxins found in the air
and the soil. Plants are especially selected for maximum
oxygenation which is a by-product of plant transpiration.
I specialize in organic methods and plants that have low
water needs.
Unique artistic elements can be created such
as one-of-a kind, hand-tied bamboo wall coverings. Garden
plans may be implemented in easy stages. No bulldozers needed.
Only contractors
who are fully licensed, bonded and checked for references
are recommended for the installation of all of the hardscape
elements like walkways, decks and
patios.
