New SEO Services

With the launch of Hypnotherapist John McGrail's site this spring, we teamed up with a very talented search engine marketing expert and began offering search engine optimization services (SEO), designed to drive traffic to your Web site.

John said that because of his site's distinctive branding, its ease of navigation, and the expert optimization, (and I would add his superb and informative content), the site has paid for itself many time over in new business.

"My only regret is that I lost a lot of money because I didn't do it sooner," John said.

Free Class:
To Blog or Not to Blog ...
Learn to Set Up Your eZine

I get a lot of questions about anything and everything to do with computers and the Internet, so I decided to feature one of my most frequently asked questions (mFAQ), in each edition of the newsletter.

Better listen up. There may be a quiz! :-)

Q. I keep hearing about blogs. Should I have one?

A. It all depends. (Yeah, I know, people love that answer).

Blogs are terrific if you love to write, can do it often, and have a lot to say that will interest your target audience. In short, a blog can definitely add punch to your marketing mix, but they're very high maintenance.

Having said all that, they are very inexpensive, some are even free.

The name "blog" is a short for weblog, a personal journal published on the Web. Blogs frequently include philosophical reflections, opinions on politics, social issues, and just about anything else, and provide a "log" of the author's favorite web links. Usually updated each day, many blogs allow readers to comment on the postings.

Still want one? Give me a call: 310.836.7141.

On Fri., July 22, I’m offering a free, hands-on training class that will help you get up and running with your eZines.

As in the past, we'll limit the group to four or five people so everybody will actually set up his/her eZine during the afternoon, three- hour (2 - 5 p.m.) program.

It will be an opportunity to learn and do in a small, safe group of people who also want to launch an eZine as quickly and easily as possible.

An eZine is an inexpensive and powerful little marketing tools that:

  • Keeps you in touch with your clients and prospects on a regular basis.

  • Subtly and effectively spreads the word about you and your business. Clients pass on your eZine — is called 'viral' marketing.

  • Builds traffic to your Web site. Articles and items in the Newsletter will be linked to appropriate pages on your Web site, building traffic and repeat visits.

To get a free 60-day trial of Constant Contact, go to my co branded portal and sign up.

No credit card is required.

Because I can only accommodate a small number of people, if you're interested, please call 310-836-7141 right away to reserve your place.

Networking:

Bag Ladies, Divas and
Bling-Bling
Inspiration to Perspiration

This spring's Women's Small Business Expo, produced by Linda Hollander (aka the Wealthy Bag lady), was a fantastic event! I was able to meet many terrific women in a supportive environment— all of us determined to learn from a wealth of excellent presenters the secrets of achieving outrageous success.

Among the many gifts of that weekend, was my introduction to Robbie Motter, aka, Queen Diva and copartner Diva-registry.com. A world-class networker, Robbie is also the Western regional coordinator for the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE).

Sporting a big "outrageous" hat, a feather boa, a rhinestone Tierra, and a big, bling-bling pin that spelled out "DIVA," Robbie had no problem starting conversations.

I was intrigued, and before I knew it, I was the duly registered, blue-white, gem-cut, Web Diva. So look to your laurels all you eZine Queens and Wealthy Bag Ladies!

You too can be a registered diva (as long as it's not The Web Diva :-). Go to The Diva Registry to find out how.

Adam Urbanski's Small Business Marketing Summit held recently in Costa Mesa really lit a fire under me! I came away from the three-day marathon brimming with ideas and tools from a host of top presenters like our friends Ali (the eZine Queen) Brown, Lorrie (Red-Hot Copy) Morgan-Ferrero, and Adam (the Marketing Mentor) himself.

I've already written a new 2005-2006 marketing plan; started writing and placing stories on the Internet; and redesigned my marketing materials to make them work a lot harder. (All of which translates into no days off, but I do take yoga breaks.:-)

One of my favorite networking organizations was there in full force, Shared Vision Network. Here we all are during a brief break!

One of the most exciting things about the Internet is its power to bring like-minded people together in a virtual community. I love Integral Naked because it epitomizes the use of myriad technologies, creativity and intellect in the service of community.

The Integral Naked site is a multimedia doorway to the world of integral awareness. Conversations, performances, live events—all involving some of the most influential, provocative, and important thinkers and leaders in the world, often moderated by Ken Wilber, considered the most influential integral theorist today.

The core of Integral Naked is a series of intense, raw, straightforward discussions that cover a full sweep of contemporary issues—from business to personal growth, from education to meditation, from politics to ecology, from sexuality to spirituality.

Integral Naked is also a platform for the artistic avant garde. Through video, concerts, readings, and experimental journals, the voices of the future are being heard today.
